As the ongoing investigation involving over four dozen vehicles sold to Ohio State student-athletes motors on (see what we did there?), the car salesman who closed those deals says each and every one was done fairly.

Aaron Kniffin told WBNS in Columbus that he never cut any special deals for Ohio State football players, including linebacker Thaddeus Gibson. As you may recall from a couple of weeks ago, Gibson reportedly paid $13,700 for his Chrysler 300, despite previous rumors that he hadn’t.

Where the stories differ, though, is exactly what kind of car Gibson purchased. Initial reports from the Columbus Dispatch indicated Gibson purchased a Chrysler 300C from Kniffin. On the contrary, Kniffin and 10 Investigates company retort that Gibson actually purchased the base model of the 300.

“(Gibson) bought a Chrysler 300 — just the basic 2.7 rental car — hubcap car, (with) cloth interior, “Kniffin said.

The difference in value between a brand new Chrysler 300 and 300C? About $10,000…….
